The View from Pincio
This view at Pincio, a beautiful park in the center of Rome just above Piazza del Popolo, has always been a favorite place of mine to paint, walk, sit and sketch.
For years I have made sketches, small watercolors, and studies here. After a decade of enjoying this particular view with the dome of St. Peter’s in the distance, I finally took my large easel to make this larger painting.
