Trastevere Shadows
I walked on this street daily for years and always noticed the play of light and shadow in the late morning and said to myself that I would paint this. I did paint it and loved observing not only the light and shadow but also the many layers of colors and textures showing the layers of history here.
This street is Via della Lungara, a main street taking you into the neighborhood of Trastevere in Rome.
