This 4-week online watercolor course will build on what we learned in Watercolor Essentials 1. For anyone who would like to do the Watercolor Essentials 1 course, you can purchase it for $65 to go through the course on your own with the live recordings from class.

We will dive into the world of a solid value structure as the foundation of entering into the world of a painting to create a sense of depth, space and light and then how to translate that to color. 

We will also learn how to work with different techniques for painting water and finish with some more fun and abstract techniques for adding different marks and textures in painting.

This course will be more focused on the bigger picture of how to work through a painting and its process. How to make a plan, what colors to use, and how to keep your painting fresh and alive with clean mixtures and good painting habits.

Our class meetings will be Wednesdays November December 2, 9,16, and 23rd via Zoom from 5- 7 pm Rome time.

What’s included in the class:

– 4 1.5 – 2-hour meetings via zoom where Kelly will lead you step-by-step through various exercises with demonstrations and explanations

– Each class will be recorded and only available afterward to class participants. You will have lifetime access to these recordings

– Each class will have a follow-up homework assignment to help implement what we have learned

– We will have a private Facebook group where only participants in the class can share their work, get feedback, ask questions and support each other in learning

The class costs $150 and can be paid via PayPal. Please indicate that you are registering for the watercolor class in the notes with your payment.

I will send you a recommended materials list upon registration. You will not need to make a large investment in materials. You will need a few colors (good artist grade paint), some decent paper (minimum 50% cotton), and 1 good brush.
