Day 94: Cypress at Kraft Gardens
Today I went to check out Kraft Gardens per recommendation from a friend, and it was worth it. The park is on the water and is mostly made up of cypress trees and azaleas. I saw this tree and just had to paint it. How can you be in Florida and not paint a cypress tree? This made me think of Lojacono, who is one of my favorite Italian painters and the way he painted trees. You know they are really rooted there in the ground but are somehow still light on top. I am still asking myself, “How does he do it,” but I hope to have the answer one day. I imagine the answer is something like, ” You just do”!Anyway, I was excited to have the opportunity to paint this today, it really was beautiful. You can buy today’s painting by clicking here.
