Upcoming Call About Plein Air in Italy

Upcoming Call About Plein Air in Italy

Next Tuesday, March 10th at 7 pm EST Pamela Haack from Off the Beaten Strada will be hosting a live call where you can ask me questions. Ask me anything! Well, about painting mostly, or life as a painter in Italy. And we’ll be telling you about the upcoming July Rome + Tuscany workshop.

I will also offer 3 tips on what I think are essential ingredients to improving your painting practice. If you could incorporate these 3 things into your painting practice you are guaranteed to see results.

The call serves to have a chat about what life is like painting in Italy, to answer any questions that you may have for me about painting and to tell anyone who may be thinking about it about my upcoming 8 day plein air workshop this June in Rome and Tuscany.

I’ve never done anything like this before, but I think that it will be fun. Is there anything that you want to know about me or painting in plein air or life in Italy that can help you with your work?

All the details for the call can be found here. You can also submit questions and register to join us.
This workshop is for all levels of plein air painters and will be held both in Rome and in the Tuscan countryside. Having lived in both of these places, I am excited to take an intimate group along for this painting ride.

The group will be small and we currently have 3 places remaining. All of your meals are taken care of and we won’t just be painting all the time. There will be time for relaxing, a wine tasting, long walks, shopping, town visits or just time to yourself.

While we’re painting we will be working step-by-step in creating paintings full of the light, air and the sunshine of Italy. Each day will have a specific painting focus such as values, composition or just working with all the varieties of green, culminating in how to put it all together in a simple and effective way to capture the sense of light and place quickly. You can see our daily itinerary here.

Dates for the workshop are June 10-19 and the cost is $2,595 and there is the option for us to provide all of your supplies for a nominal extra fee. Non-painting friends and companions are also welcome on this trip since Pamela is very skilled at helping to organize activities for anyone who wants to get out and see the sights while we are busy painting.

If you want to ask me a question in private about the workshop or painting in Italy, I completely understand. Feel free to send me a message and I will get back to you shortly.

Ci sentiamo presto,
