Day 55: Silent Sundays

Day 55: Silent Sundays

It seemed to be a particularly quiet Sunday in one of my favorite and less frequented parks in Florence, Stibbert. There was a soft muted light and so the voices and chatter even seemed subdued today. Fall is here and so life is slowly winding down. I like the cool weather but not the cold.Sunday Afternoon, Stibbert8×6″Oil on Panel(c) Kelly Medford, 2012I chose this particular statue for the red against the green, it really stands out. I waited awhile to see if anyone would come and picnic or chat, play or sit on the grass. Alas, not a soul.Today’s painting is available from my website: http://kellyaskey.fineartstudioonline.com/works/986244/sunday-afternoon-stibbertYou can see other paintings from the 120 Day Project here:http://kellyaskey.fineartstudioonline.com/dataviewer.asp?keyvalue=13530&subkeyvalue=48556&Page=ViewCollection&displayperpage=9999
