Spend a Day Out of Rome
Orvieto, one of Umbria’s liveliest and prettiest hill towns is a joy to visit and an easy trip by train from Rome.
I’ve spent a lot of time there recently and to have a day to paint here is always very fun and exciting.
Via Vivaria, Orvieto
Oil on Panel
12 x 8″
$360 | Available
This is a small side street that cars rarely come down, which can be rare in Italian hill towns unfortunately. The afternoon light looking to the distant hills through the arches was magical and fleeting.
Next time you’re in the area, remember Orvieto and spend a few days there to relax, eat well, go for scenic walks, visit outstanding museums and broaden your knowledge of Etruscan history.
