Day 60: Halfway There
I painted this at one of Rome’s most famous and beloved parks, Villa Pamphili. It’s enormous (and yes, there is a fabulous villa), it’s so big that they had to divide the park in half with a major road.
This part of the park is lively at all hours. It has the main caffè in the park and a view of St. Peter’s dome from the rolling hills of the park.

I thought that this building was a little church. Instead it’s an elderly center where older people meet to hang out, chat and play games. I chose to paint it for its colors, light and deep shadows. I liked the idea of the contrast between the tree and the building.
Well, today is officially halfway through the project.
How do you think it’s going?
