Day 79: Lonely Times
August is quiet in Italian cities. Italians are smart, they go to the beach and the mountains for the entire month if they can, anywhere to get out of the summer heat.

As soon as I got out of the old historical center though things got a little more desolate.I secretly love this time of year and wish that we could have these empty city streets more often. I always tell myself I’m going to plan to paint somewhere I could never paint the other times of year. And then I forget.
