Day 109: Life On High

You would never know that the entire city was blocked with traffic and people were sweating trudging the old streets of Rome from this spot, one of the best views of the city.View Towards Monte Mario, Pincio6×8″Oil on Panel© Kelly Medford, 2012In fact, here in this park, there was plenty of shade and a cool breeze. People were taking naps, having picnics and even playing music and going for bike rides. It was a parallel world to the one that awaited down below. I was relieved to have had these few hours of shade where no one was honking and everyone was relaxed.
