The Next 120 Days

The Next 120 Days

Announcing… 120 Days of PaintingStarting next Monday, June 25th, I will be embarking on a 120 day long journey and I invite you to come along for the ride. For the next four months I will paint a painting a day and share it with my you my readers, collectors, friends, family, followers and anyone who may be interested in the journey. Each painting will be small and painted and posted that day to my blog and website and be available to buy for $120 (+ $15 shipping) using paypal. Why 120 Days???I will be having an exhibition in Rome which will open 120 days from the start of this project. I want to be at my best, paint the best paintings that I possibly can and open the show with a BANG! When I did a 100 days of painting back in 2010, I found that with each day’s painting and reflection of what I learned that day, my painting ability dramatically increased and I was producing some of my best work by the end of that period. This time around I’m stepping things up a bit and the project will last longer. Here are my goals and what I intend to accomplish with the project:

  • to engage more actively with you in a dialogue about painting
  • a renewed committment to my growth as a painter
  • help fund the publishing of my book of stories and paintings about Rome
  • to be held accountable to producing the best possible work I can daily

To be honest I’m both nervous and excited. I want to give it my all and make my best work, to keep up the momentum of daily painting and to keep that momentum going. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued interest in my work and Rome and I hope to hear from you throughout the journey! And away we go…

Thank you for all of your comments and yes, it’s a lot of painting and a big commitment, but that’s the job of a painter, to paint add the most important priority. I’m looking forward to the learning experience. I hope to have your feedback along the way!
