Day 79: Morning Still Life in the Studio

Day 79: Morning Still Life in the Studio

Day 79: Morning Still Life in the StudioThis morning I set out to paint a still life. At a certain point I wiped the whole thing down, it was missing something and I wasn’t really very inspired by it. I decided to clean my paints and to go outside and start all over. I rolled the still life table aside and started cleaning my brushes. When I looked up this is what I saw and I thought that it was the perfect thing to paint. This is another one of those lessons to be learned over and over again, the one of stop trying so hard! There is a whole world of things out there to paint when I start looking, so sometimes attempting to arrange something, well, is just contrived.I sometimes still have the daily worry of ,”What will I paint today?”, but you would think by now that I would just relax and have a little faith, so far there’s been no lack of cool, fun, interesting, beautiful and challenging things to paint. To buy today’s painting, click here.
